The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) will provide dedicated space for Amalgamated Union of Foodstuffs and Cattle Rearers in Dei-Dei Market.

The Coordinator, Abuja Metropolitan Management Council (AMMC), Felix Amechi Obuah, gave this assurance when the representatives of the Union paid him a visit in his office, Wednesday.

According to him, the space allocation, which is in direct request of the Union, will go a long way in improving the services they provide to their customers, thereby enhancing the economic growth of the entire Territory because of its multiplier impact.

Obuah promised that their request would definitely be met but on conditions that in two to three months, cattle roaming the streets of the Abuja metropolis will henceforth be stopped.

He urged the President of the Association to call on his members to see how they can take cattles off the streets as they obstruct vehicles in the Capital City and environs.

Speaking, the National President of the Union, Comrade Mohammed Tahiru, accepted the condition given; saying, “we are willing to collaborate with the AMMC and work closely with relevant authorities to ensure peace, orderliness, and crime-free trading environments”.

He, however, expressed profound appreciation to the Coordinator for his exceptional leadership and dedication.
