Wike Receives Rwandan, Swedish Envoys

FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, has played host to Rwandan High Commissioner to Nigeria, Christopher Bazivamo and the Swedish Ambassador to Nigeria, Annika Hahn-Englund.
Wike, who received the two envoys in his office on Tuesday, separately, thanked them for acknowledging the progress the FCT Administration has achieved in infrastructure and security.
The Minister called on investors from the two countries to take advantage of the liberalized economy in Nigeria to come and invest in Abuja.
He informed the two envoys of President Bola Tinubu’s directives to him to ensure all foreign missions in Abuja have peaceful and secure environment to operate.
The Minister, equally, noted that his Administration would continue to cooperate with all foreign investors who would come to Abuja with the support of their countries.
Pedging to collaborate with Rwandan investors on environmental management, he expressed interest in partnering with Swedish investors on digital technologies and transportation.
His words: “We are happy that you’re appreciating what we are doing on infrastructure and security in Abuja. It is our duty to make all things convenient for all Embassies.”
On his part, Rwandan envoy disclosed that some investors from his country were already showing interest in the management of environmental issues in Abuja.
While the Swedish Ambassador revealed her country’s interest in strengthening bilateral relationship it has enjoyed with Nigeria over the years.
Amb. Hahn-Englund also disclosed that her country has a comparative advantage in the area of digital technologies and transportation management; adding that there are investors in her country with enough capacity to collaborate the FCT Administration.
