Tinubu’ll Commission Projects In Satellite Towns

President Bola Tinubu is expected to commission projects in the satellite towns of the Federal Capital Territory during his second term in office.
FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, made this disclosure during inspection of some projects in Kwali, Gwagwalada, Bwari Area Councils on Saturday.
He stated that the President’s visit and commissioning of satellite town projects would deepen connection with the grassroots.
His words: “At least he should go to one of the Area Councils and let the people see that, yes, this is the President. We can assure you Gwagwalada, Kwali, Bwari the President will identify with his people.
“That tells you how the President thinks about the satellite towns. He is not only concentrating on the citiy. He directed that while we are working on the city, we must also emphasize developing the satellite towns.”
The Minister revealed that one of the major projects in the satellite towns was the 85 percent done 15-kilometre A2 road, connecting Kwali to Pai.
Wike also inspected the Market-Palace-Radio House Road project, saying it was progressing steadily and expected to be completed and ready for commissioning by the President.
In Bwari Area Council, the Minister inspected the Ushafa dual carriageway, connecting War College and surrounding communities; saying that the contractor promised to complete the project before Tinubu’s second anniversary.
Wike emphasized that all the roads would reduce travel time between the satellite towns and the city centre; assuring that the projects were of top quality.
He stated that provision of infrastructure was a critical component of the ‘Renewed Hope Agenda’ of the Federal Government, aimed at boosting inclusive development, supporting job creation, and enhancing the living conditions of residents in the satellite towns.
