TETFUND TO ESTABLISH BIMS 2.0 PROJECT AT FCT COE ZUBA

The Provost, FCT College of Education, Zuba, Dr. Sule Mundi, has expressed optimism over the establishment of the Beneficiary Identity Management System (BIMS 2.0) at the College.

Dr Mundi who was represented by the Deputy Provost (Administration), Dr. Mrs. Adegbemisola Olotu, stated this during a stakeholders’ meeting held on Thursday 15th October 2026.

He explained that the TETFund-sponsored project, contracted to Krista Digital Solution Company, is designed to collect and verify institutional data, improve records management and support the College’s academic development.

In her remarks, the Registrar of the College, Hajiya Zainab Suleiman Itakure, urged Deans, Directors, Deputy Registrars and Heads of Departments to collaborate in gathering accurate data across the institution.

Similarly, the Director of ICT, Dr. Aloysius Ugwu Ikeche, noted that the successful deployment of BIMS 2.0 would enhance the management of the College’s records and activities.

In his presentation, the BIMS 2.0 Data Officer, Malam Yakubu Suleiman, explained that the system would help TETFund identify, verify, and manage beneficiary records, ensuring eligible individuals can access relevant services. He added that the system would promote data accuracy, verification and records management while connecting to TERAS to facilitate access to eligible digital services, including academic resources and e-learning.

Those in attendance included Director of Academic Planning, Dr. Saminu Awalu; Deans, Directors, Deputy Registrars and Heads of Departments.
