Maikalangu Orders Revenue Collectors To AMAC Entry Points

Chairman, Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC), Christopher Zakka Maikalangu, has ordered certain revenue collectors within its employ to focus on entry points into the Council for revenue collection.
Maikalangu gave this order during a Press Briefing in his office, Area 10, Garki I District, Tuesday.
He said: “Henceforth, we advise revenue collector in charge of street naming/house numbering and mobile advertisement to kindly desist from the Federal Capital City and concentrate more on the satellite towns and other communities within the Council.”
“We will situate our staff in a designated and organized centers, in places such as University of Abuja Area, Nyanya, and Dei-Dei axis to professionally coordinate the activities and collection of mobile Advert for the Council,” he said.
“Revenue collectors are advised not to allow touts and fake revenue collectors to take advantage of this notice and dupe unsuspecting residents, as this will enable us to bring sanity to our revenue generation and make the revenue collectors responsive and responsible for any action taken,” the Chairman added.
Maikalangu advised residents in the Council to drive any revenue collector, who jumps into their vehicles to any near by Police Station or to the Council; saying they are fake.
He warned revenue collectors against harassing the public and engaging in unwholesome practices.
