Accept Your Postings In Good Faith; Minister Enjoins Corps Members

Minister of State, Federal Capital Territory, Dr. Mariya Mahmoud has urged Corps Members deployed to Territory, who have just completed their three weeks orientation to accept their internal postings across the six (6) Area Councils of the FCT in good faith.
Speaking at the closing ceremony of the 2024 Batch B, Stream I Corps, Mahmoud re-emphasized the vision of the scheme, particularly the one that seeks to promote national unity and integration.
According to her, the Scheme provides a platform for fresh graduates to contribute their skills and engage in community development.
She noted that Nation building and Socio-Econimic development are twin areas of vital importance to the state, thus as the future leaders, they must channel their talents and potentials towards enthroning à more united and prosperous Nation where peace and justice reign.
Represented by the Mandate Secretary, Social Development Secretariat and Chairman, FCT NYSC Governing Board, Ibrahim Aminu, the Minister of State, advised the Corps Members to accept their postings and settle down quickly in order to contribute to the growth and development of their host communities.
Congratulating them on the successful completion of the three weeks rigorous regimented orientation, Mahmoud said that the virtues of patriotism, team work, discipline, resilience and sportsmanship instilled in them at the camp is the springboard require to become successful in any field of endeavor they chose to explore.
Earlier in her remarks, the FCT NYSC Coordinator, Shokpeka Ngozi Winifred, commended the Minister of the FCT, Barr. Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, Minister of State, FCT, Dr. Mariya Mahmoud and the Chairman, FCT NYSC Governing Board, Ibrahim Aminu, for graciously providing resources but most especially, creating a favourable environment to thrive and groom the Corps Members.
