FCTA To Rehabilitate Palaces Of Traditional Rulers
…To Construct 5km Roads In Communities Across Six Area Councils

The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) has plans to rehabilitate palaces of graded Traditional Rulers to ensure that they have a conducive environment befitting of their status.
The rehabilitation of these Palaces is to extol the revered institution and make it a befitting abode.
The FCT Secretary of Area Councils Services Secretariat, Bitrus Lawrence Garki, made this disclosure while receiving a delegation of Coalition of Gade Community in Kuje that paid him a visit in his office.
The Secretary said that when completed, these Palaces will serve as tourist destinations because they will remain custodians of the people’s culture and traditions.
Garki remarked that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has already looked into some of the immediate challenges being faced by the rural communities in the Federal Capital Territory and will proper lasting solutions to them.
His words: “Hence the approval for the construction of 5km roads across the six Area Councils.”
He restated the commitment of the FCT Administration under the leadership of FCT Minister and the FCT Minister of State, Nyesom Wike and Dr. Mariya Mahmoud respectively to tackle the problems of the original inhabitants of FCT headlong.
“The Ministers are 100% committed to the growth and welfare of the residents, particularly the FCT natives,” he reiterated.
He assured that the challenges faced by the ethnic groups in FCT ranging from adequate representation to water, electricity, youth and women unemployment will be addressed.
He pointed out that approval has been given for basic health provision funds and field materials in the Primary Health Care Centers.
He, however, pleaded for support, patience and cooperation from the people of FCT; pointing to the fact that the administration is just settling down as such needs time to look into some of the challenges.
Speaking earlier, the Secretary of the Coalition of Gade Community in Kuje, Agabe Yusuf Musa paid tribute to the FCT Ministers; saying that Gade people will accord them the maximum support and cooperation requires to succeed in the task given to them.
