I Remain Focused, Owe Everything To Tinubu, Fear No Threats -Wike

FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, has pledged full loyalty to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, reiterating he owed everything to the President and feared no threat, be it political or otherwise.
Wike made this declaration when he played host to leaders of ethnic nationalities from the Niger Delta who paid him a solidarity visit on Tuesday.
The Minister stated that he has resolved to remain focused and undistracted, considering the enormity of the responsibilities given to him by the President.
Urging the leaders and people of the Niger Delta to support President Tinubu, the Minister noted that the task of developing Nigeria and building a virile economy transcended political affiliations, hence the need for all Nigerians to support the President.
Commenting the problem in Rivers state regarding impeachment moves of the State Governor, Wike said: “Our problem in Niger Delta is that we should stop ethnicising everything. When you hear something, ask questions so you will be able to apraise and know the simple truth.”
“All of us are one. We need the support of everyone…no one can win elections alone,” he remarked.
Wike, therefore, called on people of the region to imbibe unity and work in peace with one another
Earlier in his speech, former Presidential Amnesty Programme Coordinator, Kingsley Kuku, who read the speech of the group, warned all politicians to know that any attack on Wike would be considered as an affront to the collective interest of the region.
Kuku said: “Wike is not a political orphan from the Niger Delta. He has a strong socio-political base. So we take very serious exception to the call for the Minister’s sack and to the blackmail on the President with denial of electoral/political support in far away 2027 should the President fail to do his bidding.”
“To say the least, Gummi’s abrogation of exclusive ownership and monopoly of administration of Abuja by a given ethno-religious region in Nigeria is not only disgusting, senseless but also puerile, hubristic, irresponsible and divisive,” he said.
Kuku admonished Wike to be rest assured that the Niger Delta people were behind him.
