Sabo Assumes Duty At FEMA

The Director of Finance and Account,(DFA), at the FCT Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), Mr. Mohammed Ibrahim Sabo, Thursday assumed duty as the head of FEMA in line with the announcement of the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike.

The DFA is the most senior officer at the Agency and therefore, assumed the responsibility of the Director-General in consonance with the Ministerial directives.

At a brief ceremony held at the FEMA Corporate office, Friday in Asokoro District, Abuja, Sabo addressed staff urging them to consolidate on the achievements of the Agency.

A statement from the Head of the Public Relations Unit, FEMA, Nkechi Isa, stated that the DFA, Mohammed Ibrahim Sabo, promised to consolidate the initiatives put in place to ensure effective emergency management.

He enjoined the staff to be committed in keeping the flag of the Agency flying, especially its developmental strides.

The statement revealed that Mohammed Ibrahim Sabo holds a Bachelor of Science degree, (B.Sc ) in accounting from Ambrose Alli University, Epkoma, an MA in business Admin (Finance) from the Nasarawa State University, and is presently a Ph.D. student at the same institution.

“He is a member of various professional bodies, including Fellow, Certified National Accountants (FCNA), Fellow Certified System Accountant (USA), Institute of Taxation of Nigeria, 2019
Institution of Certified Public Accounts of Nigeria, 2007 among others,” the statement added.

According to the statement, Mohammed Ibrahim Sabo was elevated to the position of Director of Finance and Account, FCT UBE Board in 2019 and posted to FEMA in 2022.
