We’ll Ensure Timely Completion Of Rural Roads-Wike

The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) is assiduously working to timely complete all road projects in the six Area Councils and the Satellite Towns.

The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, gave this assurance, while inspecting on-going construction of the Asphalt Carriageway in Kuje Area Council, Saturday.

Wike, who was accompanied on the visit by the FCT Minister of State, Dr. Mariya Mahmoud, affirmed that the project is progressing steadily, and therefore, expressed satisfaction with the quality of work.

The Minister assured the residents of the Area Council that the completion dateline will not be extended as the FCT Administration is determined to deliver the project on schedule.

According to him, the project when completed would ensure seamless connectivity between Kuje and Gwagwalada, thereby easing access between Kuje and Gwagwalada Area Councils.

The Minister seized the opportunity to appeal to the residents to give the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Administration more time to make Nigeria great.

He urged them not to participate in the upcoming protest; emphasizing, “Protest is not for FCT residents.”

Wike stated that the government is doing everything possible to improve the economy.

He reiterated the commitment of the FCT Administration to the success of the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s ‘Renewed Hope Agenda’.

Also speaking during the inspection tour, the Coordinator, Satellite Towns Development Department, Abdulkadir Zulkiflu, assured that his team will ensure that the standard and quality of the project is maintained and completed within the timeframe.

He lauded the efforts of the Minister; saying it is a demonstration of his commitment in monitoring the progress of work.
