Newly sworn-in Secretaries of the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) Secretariats have been charged to work for the interests of all Nigerians.

FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, who said this Friday while inaugurating the Secretary, Social Development Secretariat, Ibrahim Aminu, charged him to work for the interests of all Nigerians, irrespective of their state of origin.

Wike warned appointees to shun divisive actions in the discharge of their duties, bearing in mind that Abuja is the Federal Capital and Centre of unity.

The Minister said that appointees in FCTA must always serve everyone irrespective of ethnic or religious backgrounds, because Abuja belongs to all.

He stated that President Bola Tinubu was determined to restoring hope to Nigerians by implementing people-oriented policies.

According to him, appointees in FCT must work to support the President’s Renewed Hope Agenda and also be prepared to account for their stewardship.

His words: “Nigerians have lost hope, hence the need for the Renewed Hope Agenda of Mr. President. You must not serve only people from your localities, but all Nigerians.

“Bear in mind that at the end, you will be held accountable. Nigerians are tired of getting excuses all the time”, he added.
