2023 Hajj: Over 4,000 FCT Pilgrims Arrive Mina in good condition

The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) contingent on this year’s Muslims Pilgrimage to Saudi Arabia, comprising 4,384 pilgrims has arrived in Mina, ready to perform the Hajj Rituals.

This number is among the 2.6 million pilgrims expected to perform this year’s pilgrimage in the Holy Land, Saudi Arabia.

A statement from the Director, Information and Communication, FCT, Muhammad Hazat Sule, who is in the Holy Land as part of the FCT Ministerial Team, stated that the Chairman of the FCT Ministerial Team to the 2023 Hajj, Mallam Bashir Muhammad, disclosed this Monday, in Mina, Saudi Arabia.

The statement said the FCT contingent was airlifted to Saudi Arabia in batches of 14 flights.

It further stated that Muhammad said every Hajj exercise comes with its peculiar challenges and this year’s is no different; saying that all plans are going on as planned.

According to the statement, the Chairman assured that the FCT contingent will continue to exhibit good conduct, which is expected of them as the good Ambassadors of Nigeria while in the Holy Land.

Muhammad revealed that arrangements are in top gear to ensure a seamless movement of FCT pilgrims to the Arafat Plain tomorrow, Tuesday.

The Chairman commanded the FCTA authorities, especially the Permanent Secretary, FCT, Mr. Olusade Adesola, for the tremendous support to the FCT pilgrims.

Earlier, the Director, FCT Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board, Mallam Abubakar Adamu Evuti, expressed optimism that with the firm arrangements put on the ground, the Board is expecting a hitch-free Hajj 2023/ exercise.
