Maintain Peace; Etsu Evuti Admonishes Subjects

The inhabitants of Evuti in Lapai Local Government Area of Niger State have been called upon to continue to imbibe the values of peace, unity, community service, and respect for elders/constituted authority in order to enhance the harmonious coexistence and developmental strides of the community.

This call was made by the Etsu Evuti, Hon. Justice Idris Muhammadu Jiya Evuti (Rtd) on Thursday, in his Palace during the periodic Traditional Council meeting at Evuti.

According to a statement signed by the Galadima/Magatakarda Evuti, Abubakar Adamu Evuti, the Etsu Evuti reiterated the fact that it is only the upholding of these values that any society could achieve any meaningful progress and development.

The statement noted that traditional ruler commended the Evuti Central Mosque Project Committee, and the entire Community in general for the appreciable progress recorded so far in the upgrading of the Evuti Juma’at Mosque; urging them not to relent in the completion of this highly rewarding project.

The Etsu Evuti then beseech Allah SWT to forgive the shortcomings and grant aljannatul Firdausi to the souls of the late KUSODU of Evuti, Mal. Salihu Abdulrahman( BaSalihu Wagalo) and all other deceased of the community.

Meanwhile, during the meeting the Etsu Evuti-in- Council approved a minor cabinet reshuffle and appointment of new members into the traditional council with Dr. Salihu Ismaila, formerly, LAFARMA now KUSODU; Mal. Haruna Wakili Saba, formerly, TSADUYA, now LAFARMA; Mal. Ibrahim Yaliyu Takada, formerly, DAN ISA, now TSADUYA.
Others were Mal. Gambo Abdulrahman(Gambo Damu), the new DAN ISA and Naval Comm. Muhd Abubakar Usman (Ma’aji Balikali) as the new SA’I.
