Your Voices Will Be Heard; Secretary Assures FCT Youths

No effort will be spared to develop and improve the standard of living of the youth in the Federal Capital Territory as their demands will be taken seriously by the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA).
The Mandate Secretary, Federal Capital Territory Youth Development Secretariat, Comrade Abdullahi Ango Suleiman, who gave assurance while addressing youth drawn from the six Area Councils of the FCT, at a high level youth engagement summit in Area 11, Garki Abuja, further assured that their voices will be clearly heard.
The Mandate Secretary, therefore, urged the youth to give priority to demand-driven businesses and entrepreneurship, rather than waiting for white-collar jobs, that are non-existent.
Ango explained that the current administration’s ‘Renewed Hope Agenda’ which prioritizes the provision of enabling business environments will help to identify, hone and fully maximize the enormous potentials, natural endowments and acquired skills that FCT youth are gifted with.
His words: “I urge you to embrace mentorship and counselling services that we shall be providing, consider it as a much needed catalyst to scale up innovative enterprise and unleash the creative spirit of young people in the FCT, needed for national growth and development.”

Said that the “the Summit aims to capture our demand for a more inclusive, prosperous and sustainable FCT, and it covers areas such as employment generation, education, healthcare, security, infrastructural development, environmental sustainability amongst others.”
