WIKE IS INDISPENSABLE, HIS POLITICAL CONTRIBUTIONS TO MR PRESIDENT CANNOT BE IGNORED

Every member of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) owes a debt of gratitude to Nyesom Wike, Federal Lawmaker Hon. Abdulmumin Jibrin declared, warning party leaders against publicly embarrassing the Minister.

Featuring on Channels Television’s Politics Today, the Kano lawmaker launched a fierce defense of the FCT Minister following sharp rebukes from top APC governors.

Jibrin insisted that Wike’s cross-party activities have directly bolstered President Bola Tinubu’s administration and fortified the party’s electoral prospects.

”There is no APC member in Nigeria today that has not directly or indirectly benefited from the efforts of Wike,” Jibrin declared, describing the Minister as a key political asset who surrendered his own local structures to hand victory to the ruling party.

The intervention follows rising friction from Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq and Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma. Both governors recently questioned Wike’s continued membership in the Peoples Democratic Party while orchestrating a broad “Rainbow Coalition” for Tinubu’s re-election.

Dismissing those concerns, Jibrin stressed that politics is fundamentally about numbers and results. He pointed to the APC’s recent triumph in five out of six FCT Area Councils as concrete evidence of Wike’s capacity to deliver at the polls.

”Wike has sacrificed so much for the President and the APC,” Jibrin said, revealing that the Minister even persuaded his own candidates to step down for APC contenders during local council elections.

Denying any personal ties to Wike, the former House Appropriation Committee Chairman clarified that his public defense stems purely from a desire to safeguard the stability of President Tinubu’s political trajectory.

Instead of firing broadsides through the press, Jibrin urged aggrieved subnational leaders to treat Wike as a partner, engage him in private dialogue, and avoid demoralizing strategic allies who are delivering crucial victories from outside formal party lines.
