FCT Minister Approves Deployment of Permanent Secretaries

The Minister of the Federal Capital; Territory, (FCT), Barrister Nyesom Wike, has approved the immediate deployment of 10 Permanent Secretaries of the FCT Administration. 

The Permanent Secretaries, who were recently sworn-in by the Minister have been urged to discharge their duties diligently and professionally.

The deployment of the Permanent Secretaries, which is contained in a Circular signed by the Head of Civil Service, FCT, Dr. Udo Samuel Atang, stated that the newly deployed Permanent Secretaries were requested to hand over the affairs in their former offices to their immediate subordinates. 

The Circular indicated that Wanki Adamu Ibrahim has been posted to Treasury and Budget, AsmauMuktar, Social Development, while Dogo Aliyu Wadata Bodinga is to take charge of Economic Planning, Revenue Generation and Public-Private-Partnership. 

Others are, Dr. Adams Baba Gana, Health Services and Environment, Olusa Olusegun, Area Council Services, Adetoyi Rabiu Kolawole, Women Affairs and Grace Adayilo, takes charge of Agriculture and Rural Development.

The Circular further stated that other Permanent Secretaries deployed in the FCTA include OlubunmiOlowookere, who is to oversee the Common Services, Ibe Prospect Chukwuemeka heads to Education and Okonkwo Florence Nornubari has been deployed to Transportation.

Abuja Digest recalls that the FCT Minister, NyesomWike recently began the implementation of the 2018 Act, establishing a Civil Service Commission for the FCT with the appointments of the Head of Civil Service and the Permanent Secretaries. 

Abuja Digest also recalls that Wike had last week Monday sworn-in the Head of the Civil Service of the FCT, Dr. Udo Samuel Atang, alongside ten Permanent Secretaries.
