Uni-Abuja, A Beacon Of Knowledge And Innovation -Wike

Since inception, the University of Abuja (Uni-Abuja) has been a beacon of knowledge and innovation in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
The University has consistently upheld the highest academic standards and contributed significantly to the development of the Federal Capital Territory and environs.
Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Barrister Nyesom Wike, stated this during the convocation lecture held ahead of the convocation ceremony.
The Minister, who was represented at the occasion by the FCT Education Secretary, Dr. Danlami Hayyo, further stated that the University’s positive impact on the region can not be overemphasized.
Wike explained that the University has been instrumental in providing access to quality Education for the people of the FCT and beyond as well as offering opportunities to students from diverse backgrounds to pursue higher Education and fulfill their dreams.
According to him, this commitment to inclusivity and excellence aligns with the vision and aspirations of the founding fathers of the FCT.
He stressed that the University has been a hub of research and innovation, addressing critical issues that affect the region from urban planning and infrastructure development to health care and agriculture, thereby finding solutions to some of the challenges facing the capital city and it’s residents.
Wike, while congratulating the graduands for standing on the threshold of a new beginning equipped with knowledge and skills that will enable them to shape the future of our great Nation, commended the Vice Chancellor, Professor Abdul-Rasheed Na’Allah for his record breaking achievements.
The Minister, therefore, seek more avenues for collaboration between the FCTA and the University as many Staff of the FCTA have taken advantage of the many academic programmes offered by the school and acquired knowledge which has been of immense benefits to the Administration.
