AFCON 2023 Final Draw Takes Place On Thursday

The final draw of the Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON 2023, will take place in Cote d’Ivoire’s capital Abidjan on Thursday October 12 , 2023.
A statement from CAF said the event will convene the biggest stars from Africa as well as celebrities and football leaders, in addition to the CAF family.
Time for the event is 19:00 GMT (8 pm Nigerian Time) at Parc des Expositions in Abidjan. CAF’s YouTube channel and CAF global TV partners will provide streaming for the draw.
“The Final Draw is a major milestone to the kick-off of the TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations Côte d’Ivoire 2023 and will see the 24 Participating Member Associations discover their fate for the Group Stages of the competition,” CAF said.
Qualified teams are Cote d’Ivoire, which will host the tournament, Nigeria, Algeria, Morocco, Ghana and Guinea. Others are Angola, Cameroon, Congo DR, Egypt, Equatorial Guinea, and Gambia.
Senegal, South Africa, Mauritania, Mozambique, Namibia, and Guinea-Bissau will also take part in addition to Tanzania, Tunisia, Zambia, Cape Verde, Burkina Faso and Mali.
The tournament will take place on January 13 2024.
