Expressing his desire to standardize operations of the division, the new AMAC boss reiterated that all staff have to “discharge a great deal of loyalty to the (his) administration with full cooperation and dedication to duty”.

Earlier, the Divisional Head, Mrs. Patience Olaloye who led the team, stated that they were in his office to congratulate him over his successful inauguration and to pledge their loyalty and allegiance to the Maikalangu-led administration in AMAC.

Olaloye who is also General Manager, AMAC Community Radio, therefore acquainted the Chairman of the Division’s responsibilities, even as she appealed for assistance to tackle many of its challenges.

In a related development, Maikalangu disclosed plans by his administration to upgrade AMAC Community Radio to an economically viable broadcast station that is of global best practices which would be a choice station, competing with others in the FCT.

According to him, the action was in line with his plans to reposition critical agencies to guarantee optimal performance and generation of employment opportunities.

He further explained that his decision was part of measures to reduce overhead cost and augment decreasing inflows to the Council from the Federation Account allocations, so that he would be able to prioritise execution of capital projects.
