The Abuja Municipal Area Council Chairman, Christopher Zakka Maikalangu has expressed confidence in attracting huge foreign investments into the Council.

Maikalangu expressed this confidence Wednesday, on arrival at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, while returning from Germany on official visit.

Explaining the reason for the visit, the Chairman said: “It was an economic and diplomatic visit to Germany, where we had cause to interface with the international business moguls.”

“We also visited many investors and canvassed for investment opportunities in addition to having useful deliberations,” he added.

According to him, the need for involvement of local and foreign investment in the Area Council became necessary because AMAC needs such resources and collaboration to create jobs, develop the communities and create wealth for its teeming youths and citizens.

He assured that there was hope for the Council due to the renewed faith and confidence in his administration by the international community, who expressed happiness with the progress it has made so far.

His words: “We are making progress. We’ve made useful contacts and engaged in deliberations we believe will yield positive results in the shortest possible time.”

“The good news is that, they are confident and they are happy with our progress thus far. There is faith and confidence in the government of our Council”.

Maikalangu further revealed that the Council has huge available investment opportunities in agriculture and other sectors.

He commended the FCT Minister of State, Dr. Ramatu Tijjani Aliyu for providing the international opportunity for the Chairmen to travel and also seek investment for their councils
