LET’S STRENGTHEN VOTING PROCESS; FCTA TASKS RESIDENTS

The Federal Capital Territory Administration has called on residents of the Federal Capital Territory to work towards strengthening the voting process in the Territory.
Speaking during a Public Enlightenment Exercise at Garki Area 1 Park, The Director, Department of Information and Communication, Muhammed Hazat Sule, said the FCT Administration wants residents to go about the voting process in a peaceful and orderly manner.
The Director, who was represented by Josie Mudasiru, Deputy Director, Information; said that everyone has the choice of voting to their preferred candidate and that security and other logistics has been put in place to ensure a smooth process.
He said that FCTA is collaborating with INEC to ensure a free and fair elections.
Some of the residents who spoke with our reporters were delighted that government officials were around to talk with them by giving them assurances.
They promised to vote and not fight but however, complained about the restricted access to cash.
The Public Enlightenment Team also visited Wuse Market were the messages were well received by the Traders as well as inhabitants of Garki Village.
The exercise will continue tomorrow in Gwagwa, Idu and Karmo .
