Massive Deployment of Security Ahead of Easter-CP

The FCT Police Command has deployed massive human and material resources across the Federal Capital Territory to ensure that residents enjoy peaceful Easter Celebration.

The FCT Police Commissioner, AIG Sadiq Idris Abubakar, who dropped this hint during a meeting with senior police officers in the command, assured residents of the unwavering commitment of The Police Force to ensure a safe and peaceful environment during and after the Easter celebration.

Accordingly, the FCT Command Spokesperson, SP. Josephine Adeh, made this known in a statement made available to the media in Abuja.

According to the statement, the Commissioner of Police charged the Senior Officers from all the Units and formations of the Command to be on alert.

AIG Sadiq Idris Abubakar also charged the officers to ensure that no stone is left unturned in discharging their duties.

While calling on the residents to be vigilant, he urged them to embrace peace in the spirit of the festive season.

The Police Commissioner assured that the deployment consists of all intelligence and tactical assets at the disposal of the Command, which is strengthened with inter- agency collaboration.

His words: “This is to curb crime and criminality and will involve Policing at all places of worship, stop and search, intelligence led raids on black spots, highway and border patrol and other aspects of Policing”.
