2026 HAJJ: FCT MPWB COMPLETES RETURN AIRLIFT OF PILGRIMS.

The Federal Capital Territory Administration’s Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board (FCT MPWB) has completed the return airlift of its over 1,500 pilgrims to Abuja.
The final batch of 16 pilgrims, including the Director of the Board, Malam Kadiri Edah, and other officials, arrived at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, on Monday, 15th June, following the successful completion of the 2026 Hajj exercise.
The Director of the Board, Malam Kadiri Edah, congratulated the pilgrims on the successful completion of the 2026 Hajj and prayed to Almighty Allah to accept their acts of worship.
He also wished them a safe and pleasant return to their respective families and destinations across the FCT and beyond.
Malam Kadiri further expressed the Board’s profound gratitude to the FCT Administration, under the leadership of the FCT Minister, His Excellency, Barrister Nyesom Wike, and the Honourable Minister of State, Hajiya Mariya Mahmoud, for providing the Board with the necessary support to successfully execute the exercise.
Abuja Digest recalled that the return airlift commenced on June 7th with the transportation of 316 pilgrims aboard an Air Peace flight from King Abdulaziz International Airport, Jeddah, to the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja.
This was followed by subsequent flights until the last batch of pilgrims arrived on Monday, June 15th, 2026.
