FCTA Woos Public, Private Investors

To improve the socio-economic lives of residents of the nation’s capital, the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) has called on the Public and Private participation in various investment opportunities in the Territory.
The call is geared towards corroborating the effort of the FCT Administration in ensuring a sustainable and robust economic growth for the betterment of the lives of the residents through the massive infrastructural development in the Territory.
The Coordinator of the Abuja Infrastructure Investment Centre (AIIC), Mr. Oladiran Akindele, made the call while addressing the stakeholders during a programme titled: ‘FCT-Wide Investment Promotion Strategy Stakeholders Forum, 2025’ at Rockview Classic Hotel, Wuse II District, Abuja.
Akindele disclosed that the essence of the event is to create an avenue, educate and enlighten stakeholders by the experts and to exchange ideas on how to make Abuja more dynamic, resilient and prosperous in the area of economic and infrastructural development.
The Coordinator reiterated that the new infrastructural projects executed by the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, are also meant to attract investors, expand Investment opportunities, and to strive towards creating enabling environment for investors to improve the socio-economic growth of the FCT residents.
Speaking at the occasion, Head, FCT Ease of Doing Business (EODB), Dr. Oluwakorede Matilukoro, explained that the FCT Administration established the Ease of Doing Business Secretariat in order to carry out five major tasks which are: transparency and efficiency, administration, technology, land and administration and tax reform.
Matilukoro, who was represented at the occasion by Mr. Rotimi Ojo, disclosed that the FCT Minister has granted the approval of ‘Steering Committee’ that would be saddled with the responsibilities of harmonizing the tax and address all the tax related challenges of the investors in order to ensure ‘bottleneck free operation’ of the investment in the FCT.
