FCDA Commences Tour Of Project Sites

As part of its supervisory role in the development of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), the Federal Capital Development Authority (FCDA) has embarked on assessment tour of ongoing government projects within the Territory.
The exercise which was headed by the Director of Public Building Department, Arch. Adebowale Ademo visited various public building project sites within the Territory.
The Director noted that the tour was a routine inspection with the intention to determine the progress and quality of the projects as well as to ascertain the actuality of works and materials being used.
The Director said the excercise was informed by the need to ensure that contractors conform to acceptable standards and development codes hinged on World’s best practices.
His words: “The FCDA as a major developer, is committed to timely completion of projects but most importantly, the application of best practices and standards.”
Accordingly, some of the projects visited include: The Headquarters of the National Population Commission at Mabushi, the African First Ladies Peace Commission Headquarters, Economic Community of West African States ( ECOWAS) Parliament Building (Chinese Assisted) and the National Action Committee on Aids (NACA) Extension Building among others.
