We’ll deploy ICT to drive governance in FCT—Perm Sec

Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Permanent Secretary, Sir Chinyeaka Ohaa has disclosed that the FCT Administration (FCTA) would deploy Information Communication Technology (ICT) to drive the process of governance in the nation’s capital city.

He said this is for effective and efficient service delivery to residents of the Territory.

The Permanent Secretary took the position in Abuja during a special workshop organized for heads of ICT in the various Secretariats, Department and Agencies (SDAs) of FCTA last week.

According to the Permanent Secretary, who was represented by a director in his office, Mr.Udo Samuel Atang, for FCT to achieve its vision to be among the 20 best capital cities in the world, ICT must be given top priority.

He remarked that the training would prepare the participants for smooth transition to the Smart City initiative of the FCT Minister, Malam Muhammad Musa Bello.

The Permanent Secretary expressed optimism that the training would put the participants on their toes and ensure optimum performance.

Earlier, the Chief Executive Officer of  Startpreneurs Limited, the training facilitators, Jennifer Chizua, described the training as phenomenal in the history of FCT.

She assured the Administration that the training would reposition FCT ICT on a progressive and higher pedestal.
