EVUTI COMMUNITY CELEBRATES FOUR YEARS ON THE THRONE OF ETSU IDRIS

The Evuti Community in Lapai Local Government Area of Niger State, has rolled out drums to celebrate the fourth-year anniversary of their King, HRH Hon. Justice Idris Muhammadu Jiya (Rtd.)

The occasion which took place at Evuti, a community in Lapai, was attended by all sons and daughters of the community, both residing in and outside the State.

The event which was full of fun saw local traditional and praise singers entertaining the guests with captivating songs in Nupe language.

It would be recalled that HRH Idris Muhammadu Jiya, who is the 19th
Etsu Evuti ascended the throne of his ancestors on Tuesday, 13th November 2018.

In a statement signed by Alhaji Abubakar Adamu Evuti, the Galadima/Magatakarda Evuti and made available to Abuja Digest Thursday in Abuja, he said that highpoint of the celebration was the observance of a special prayer for continued peace and security of the area and Nigeria at large.

According to the statement, the last four years have been characterised with unprecedented giant strides in the areas of roads, telecommunication, education, and boosting of the economic activities in the area.

Galadima/Magatakarda Evuti noted that these achievements witnessed by Evuti Community under the leadership of HRH Justice Idris Muhammadu Jiya, is a confirmation of the hopes and expectations of the inhabitants of the area as the Etsu Evuti ascends to the throne four years ago.

His words: “With the announcement of HRH Justice Idris Muhammadu Jiya as the successor to late Etsu Ismaila, the Evuti Community expected so much from their new Traditional Ruler, and they have not been disappointed as frantic efforts are being made to attract genuine developments to his domain”.

The statement further said that HRH Etsu Evuti also express his utmost regards and uncommon gratitude to the Emir of Lapai, HRH Engr. Umar Tafida Bago III, CON, FNSE for his continuous fatherly love and uncommon support to the Evuti Community.
