In a letter authored by the Secretary, National Executive Council of the Management Committee of ALGON, Mohammed Abubakar, said the emergence of Abdullahi was approved by the committee in its last meeting.

The Secretary added that the Chairman was expected to run a smooth administration that would become a pedestal for effective service delivery across the 774 LGAs across the federation.

The letter reads; “the National Executive Council of the Interim Management Committee of ALGON has approved the appointment of Alh. Abubakar Umar Abdullahi, the Chairman, Abaji Area Council, as its national chairman upon the resolution of the meeting held on the 17th day of May, 2023.”

Sequel to his appointment, the Chairman pledged to take steps that would reposition the Association for the purpose of good governance at the grassroot level.

He noted that he is thrilled to have been appointed as the Chairman of the Association; adding that he has accepted the task ahead of him in good faith.

The new Chairman assured the Association that he will fulfill the duties by sustaining the standard set by the Association to better the lives of the citizens at the grassroot level.
