FCT MPWB COMMENCES THE REGISTRATION OF INTENDING PILGRIMS FOR THE 2027 HAJJ, SETS N7.5 MILLION AS MINIMUM DEPOSIT

The Federal Capital Territory Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board (FCT MPWB) has commenced the registration of intending pilgrims for the 2027 Hajj exercise. The Director of the Board, Malam Kadiri Edah, disclosed this in Abuja during a chat with reporters.

Director Kadiri highlighted that ‘the prospective pilgrims are to raise a minimum of Seven Million and Five Hundred Thousand Naira (N7,500,000.00) only, via a bank draft, payable to the FCT Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board, Abuja, from any Commercial Bank and deposit same on or before 25th September, 2026, being the Closing Date for the registration exercise, as stipulated by the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON)’.

The Director, also noted that the intending pilgrims should submit the bank drafts to the Board’s Head Office, at Gudu District, near the FCT Judicial Service Complex, for registration.

He emphasized that the completed registration forms should be accompanied by the following documents; valid international passport, which must be valid through October 2027, photocopy of NIN slips, four (4) recent passport photographs (colored picture, white background with dark clothes), photocopy of Guarantor’s I.D card with one passport photograph and valid contact number(s), amongst others.

The Director further warned that the Board does not accept cash payments or proxy registrations.
