QUALITY ASSURANCE DIRECTOR RECEIVES NIGERIA SILENT HEROES AWARD

The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Education Secretariat has congratulated the Director of the Department of Quality Assurance (DQA), Hajiya Hajarat Titilayo Alayande, on her recognition as a recipient of the prestigious Nigeria Silent Heroes Award.
Hajiya Alayande received the Silent Hero in Education Award during a colourful ceremony held in Abuja in recognition of her outstanding dedication, exemplary leadership, and significant contributions to strengthening quality assurance and advancing educational standards across the Federal Capital Territory.
Speaking shortly after receiving the award, Hajiya Alayande expressed profound appreciation to the organisers for recognising the efforts of the Department of Quality Assurance in promoting and sustaining high standards in teaching and learning across schools in the FCT.
She said the Department has continued to play a strategic role in ensuring compliance with educational standards, improving teaching quality, and supporting the implementation of policies aimed at delivering quality education throughout the Territory.
According to her, the award, which honours distinguished Nigerians whose selfless service, exceptional leadership, and remarkable contributions have positively impacted society and national development, serves as a source of encouragement to further strengthen the Department’s mandate and contribute meaningfully to the growth of the education sector.
She also called on well-meaning individuals, corporate organisations, and development partners to complement the efforts of the FCT Administration in supporting educational development and other critical sectors across the Territory.
Hajiya Alayande was honoured alongside other eminent Nigerians, including the Inspector-General of Police, Olatunji Rilwan Disu, the Chief of Defence Staff, General Olufemi Olatubosun Oluyede, and several distinguished personalities from different sectors of the nation’s economy.
Congratulating the award recipient, the Director of the FCT Education Resource Centre (ERC), Dr Neemat Daud Abdulrahim, described the honour as well deserved and a fitting recognition of Hajiya Alayande’s unwavering commitment to excellence, professionalism, and quality assurance in education.
Dr Abdulrahim noted that Hajiya Alayande’s dedication to promoting educational standards continues to inspire colleagues and stakeholders within and beyond the education sector. She added that the FCT Education Secretariat is proud of her achievements and expressed confidence that the recognition would spur her to even greater accomplishments in the years ahead.
The ceremony, attended by prominent dignitaries, government officials, and notable leaders from across the country, culminated in the presentation of awards to the recipients. The event celebrated excellence, patriotism, and selfless service, while recognising individuals whose contributions continue to advance national development.
