World Environmental Day: FCTA Plans Massive Health Awareness

Authorities of the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) in collaboration with the Federal Ministry of Environment and the Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC), have concluded plans for a massive health awareness on the 2023 World Environmental Day.

This was disclosed when a delegation from the Abuja Environmental Protection Board (AEPB), Federal Ministry of Environment and the Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC) paid a courtesy visit to the Village Head of Kuchigoro, HRH Ibrahim Wambi, in his Palace, Tuesday.

The delegation’s Spoke Person, Mr. Aghogho Gbetsere, said that the FCT Administration would spare no effort in ensuring that a high level of good health is attained through environmental protection for the FCT residents.

According to him, massive sensitization in local communities would remain the biggest strategy.

In recognition of the Village Head effort towards sanitizing and protecting the environment of his community, Mr. Gbetsere, announced that flagg-off of the ‘World Environmental Day’ will be in Kuchigoro Community.

He said, the team has noticed a tremendous changes in Kuchigoro community’s environmental outlook, compared to previous time the team visited the community; noting that the village head of Kuchigoro is now a role model to other village heads in the Federal Capital Territory.

Responding, the village head, expressed appreciation to the Team for the visit and for identifying with his community.
