HAJJ 2023: FCT Completes Return Airlift

The last Federal Capital Territory contingent to this year’s Hajj have return to Abuja last night.

The pilgrims that departed King AbdulAziz International Airport, Jeddah exactly 17:40 hours Saudi Arabia local time aboard Air Peace combined flight number APK7965 landed at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja at 9:15 pm Nigeria time.

The combined flight landed with the final FCT contingent of 48 passengers and 255 Kwara pilgrims that participated in this year’s Hajj exercise in Saudi Arabia.

In a chat with newsmen after landing in Abuja, the Director of the FCT Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board, Mallam Abubakar Adamu Evuti, disclosed that the flight mark the end of return flight of the pilgrims, who participated in the 2023 Hajj exercise from the Federal Capital Territory.

Evuti stated that the last flight comprises of officials and few pilgrims, who rounded up the exercise this year.

The Director said that the completion of the return flight has kicked started the beginning of 2024 Hajj exercise.

He expressed his appreciation over the exemplary behavior of the entire team and reaffirmed the commitment of the FCT Administration in enhancing future operations.

Evuti appreciated the support of the FCT Permanent Secretary, Mr. Olusade Adesola, and his special interest in welfare of the pilgrims.
