HAJJ 2022: FCT COMPLETES OPERATION

The Federal Capital Territory Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board has completed the 2022 Hajj Exercise with the return of its worshippers from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The Director of the Board, Mallam Muhammad Nasiru Danmallam, made the declaration at the Nnamdi Azikwe International Airport on arrival from the King AbdulAziz International Airport Jiddah, kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Mallam Danmallam stated that with the return flights recorded so far from Saudi Arabia, the Board has returned all the FCT contingent that participated in the religious exercise this year.

The Director gave praises to Allah for the success of the operation; noting that the Board did not record any casualty or fatality before, during or after the Hajj Exercise.
According to him, “no serious health challenges from our pilgrims was recorded while in Saudi Arabia”.

He explained that all the pilgrims in the FCT contingent exhibited high level of maturity and good conduct throughout the exercise.

While describing the FCT pilgrims as good ambassadors of the Country, he disclosed that none of the them eloped during the exercise.
The Director revealed that the airlift of the pilgrims of the FCT to Saudi Arabia commenced on 10th June and the entire contingent was conveyed to Saudi Arabia in 5 flights, which ended on 3rd July with a total of 1,918 Pilgrims.

He emphasized that all the pilgrims visited Madina before the performance of the Hajj proper.

His words: “The return journey commenced on 15th and rounded up today being 30th July, 2022.”
